32” circular needles, US6/4mm
4 Stitch markers

Gauge:
20 sts x 26 rows = 10cm (4″) in stockinette.

Directions:

This is a top down pulover.

Cast on 94 stiches:15 sts + 1 st (place marker) + 30 sts + st (place marker) + 15 sts + st (place marker) + 30sts + st (place a different marker to mark the beggining of the round.)

Purl all stiches in the first and second rounds. From the third round on you will knit all the sts and make the increases before and after the marked stich in alternated rounds. To increase sts, use yarnovers.

Keep working this way until you have 55 sts (sleeve) + 1 st (with marker) + 122 sts (body) + 1 st (with marker) + 55 sts (sleeve) + 1 st (with marker) + 122sts (body) + 1 st (with marker).

Purl the next 3 rounds. Now knit the next 122 sts (front) + 1 st (remove marker) + cast on 6 sts.

Put 55 sts on hold (you can use another circular needle). Knit the next stich (remove marker) + 122 sts (back) + 1 st (remove marker ) + cast on 6 sts. Put 55 sts on hold (you can use another circular needle).

Knit the next st (remove marker) and join the circle. You must have 256 sts now.

On the next two rounds, purl 128 sts, place marker, purl 128 sts, place marker. Then start working the Honeycomb Stich:

round 1: *K4, (P1,K1) 3 times, K3, repeat from * to end.
round 2: *K3, (P1, K1) 4 times, K2 , repeat from * to end
round 3: *K4, (P1,K1) 3 times, K3 , repeat from * to end
round 4: *K3, (P1, K1) 4 times, K2 , repeat from * to end
round 5: *Sl 3 sts on cable needle hold at front, k3, k3 from cable needle (3/3F cable), k1, sl next 3 sts on cable needle hold at back, k3, k3 from cable needle (3/3B cable)* – Repeat from * to end.
from 6 to 12 rounds: knit all sts
round 13: *3/3B cable, k1, 3/3F cable, repeat from * to end
round 14: *K3, (P1, K1) 4 times, K2 , repeat from * to end,
round 15: *K4, (P1,K1) 3 times, K3, repeat from * to end.
round 16: *K3, (P1, K1) 4 times, K2, repeat from * to end.

Work Honeycomb pattern until your pulover measures about 65 cm (25″) from shoulder to waist.

Purl the next 5 rounds and bind off.

Sleeves

Pick up the 55 sts on hold, cast on more 10 sts and join the round under the arm. Take care to avoid holes. You’ll have 65 sts on the needle.

K 26 + place marker + K 13 (middle of the sleeve)+ place marker + K 26 + place marker

From the next round on, K 26 sts + start the Honeycomb pattern + K 26 sts. One Honeycomb pattern (13 sts pattern rep) for a long cable in the middle of the sleeve (see the picture). This must have be done in the middle of the sleeve – that’s why we use markers.

At the same time, decrease each 6 rounds under the arm as follows: ssk 2 sts after the marker and k2tog 2 sts before the marker, until you have 45 sts.
Purl the next 3 rounds and bind off.

Make the same for the other sleeve.
